The Beef Tartare’s acidity is super high. I could feel the onion burning through my heart. It does have a lot of flavors, but I wished it wasn’t as sharp tasting of sourness.
Croque Mademoiselle was so so good. The egg was cooked perfectly sunny side up with a runny yolk. The salmon was extremely smokey and flavourful. Last but not least, the bread was fluffy with a crispy crust. All components pair extremely well with each other. Delish.
Mussels were fresh and had a great texture to them. Wasn’t overcooked or undercooked. The Poulette sauce was seasoned pretty well and creamy but not too thick.
Chez Maman Burger is definitely one of the better burgers I’ve had. The meat was juicy, tender. Look at the perfect pink medium rare. Caramelized onions were added to the burger which gave a bit of sweetness to it. The burger itself already taste great, but I added their Garlic Aioli sauce and omg so good.
The Fries were crispy on the outside and soft inside. With the Garlic Aioli sauce, I just couldn’t stop eating them. It goes in my mouth one after another non-stop.
For dessert, my friend and I got the Apricot Chardonnay Gelato. It was amazing. One of the best gelato I’ve had. Definitely can tell that it’s housemade. The flavor was very distinct and strong.
What is better than dessert? Free dessert! Thank you, Chez Maman! The Pear Basil Gelato was extremely refreshing. I can taste both pear and basil very clearly. Neither of the flavor overpowered.
What’s better than free dessert? Two free desserts! The Mousse au Chocolate was velvety and rich; however, the texture was not as smooth and creamy. I like how there’s some chocolate crunch on top so it was not just one mouthfeel.
Would I visit again? Yes!
