Kikanbo is known to be one of the spiciest and tastiest ramen in Tokyo. They’ve been on television and websites. For the ramen, you can choose the level of spiciness and numbness. Both range from none to demon level. Kikanbo in Japanese means unruly child hence the ‘demon’ level.

Let’s start off regular ramen with coriander at medium level for both spicy and numb before going into anything crazier. The broth was extremely flavour and the taste of pork is definitely there. Each and every slurp of the al dente ramen was wrapped by the creamy thick broth.

Crazy time! Demon level spice and numb for the Delux Ramen. It included a seasoned egg, fried sprout, corn, and two slices of chashu (marinated braised pork belly). Again, the ramen is simply divine. Even with the insane hotness burning in my mouth, there is no doubt that this is a bowl of flavours and aroma. The chashu melts like butter filled with the taste of umami.

Would I visit again? Definitely yes
