Sushi Dai is one of Tokyo’s most popular sushi bar due to its price and quality. It once had a Michelin Star; however, they no longer participate because it’s a hassle to join and they don’t need it. The restaurant is so famous already that it doesn’t matter if they have the star or not. If you don’t want to wait for three hours, I highly recommend waiting in line at 4AM since they open at 5AM. 4AM?! Pretty absurd. It’s either waiting at 4AM or waiting in line for 3 hours.

The sushi was extremely fresh due to the fact they buy ingredients and fishes from the Tsukiji Market daily. The rice was soft, fluffy and warm. It got the perfect amount of rice vinegar and sugar. Each of the nigiri was seasoned, marinated, and flavoured to superiority. One nigiri after another is like a bite of heaven every time. The ratio of fish to rice cannot be better than what was served. The cut of the fish was divine without any mistakes. My favourites are the Otoro, Kinmeidai, and Sake. Especially the Fatty Tuna Belly, it melted in my mouth and coated my tongue with freshness and flavours. Definitely worth waiting in line at 4AM or for 3 hours.

Would I visit again? Love to.
