Patbingsu (팥빙수) is a Korean dessert which traditionally includes azuki beans and shaved ice. The name literally spells out red bean and shaved ice when translated into English. 팥 (red bean) and 빙수 (shaved ice).

Unlike other shaved ice, Queen’s Cafe’s Patbingsu is shaved so finely it’s similar to snow. The ice was extremely fluffy and light complemented with the crunchy almonds and soft sweet azuki beans.

There wasn’t much green tea taste due to the nonproportional amount of shaved ice and matcha sauce. Even the green tea ice cream itself is mediocre with barely any taste. Most of the flavouring came from the azuki beans. Texture wise was amazing; however, the flavour is definitely lacking.

Would I visit again? Just for the ice.
