One day, Laura Athuil decide to take a French cream puff class and she completely fell in love. She left France to America and started creating her own version of cream puffs. Unlike traditional cream puff with simple icing on top, Laura’s have beautiful designs on top with a variety of colours.

Each cream puff is baked daily then filled with flavoured custards. There’s Chocolate, Tahitian Vanilla, Pistachio, Salted Caramel, Hazelnut, and Lemon. However, it’s not called Pistachio, it’s Rachel. The cream puffs are named after her friends, so if you have a friend named Ben, give him the Salted Caramel.

All of the cream puffs are so delicate and perfectly rounded. Each of them is baked beautifully with a nice golden brown. The custard filling is so flavourful and true to its name. Pistachio was nutty. Lemon was full of tart. My favourite was the Rose Strawberry Meringue. The aromatic floral smell and fruity taste combined together was just amazing. Another baked good that I love is the Chounut.

Laura is the inventor of the Chounut (choux and doughnut). Just like a cream puff but shaped as a doughnut. Absolutely delicious. The Chouxnut flavor varies on different days and I got the Chocolate Passionfruit. It’s incredible! The custard was so smooth and tasty. You got the tartness of the passionfruit, then the richness of the chocolate. Delicious!

Would I visit again? Yes! Yes! Yes!
